I hope that my posts have given you more understanding about grief and have either provided a chance for you to feel less alone in your own grief, or have given you a chance to reflect on how you can help others around you, who may be experiencing grief, perhaps it has given you permission to open up an awkward conversation or the confidence to sit and be a shoulder for someone.
On this final day, I wanted to share an additional quote, one that I have shared many times before, because it is my favourite. I first read it in a condolence card we received from my older brother, David, and it struck such a chord with me then, and still continues to do so. I get great comfort every time I read it, hear it or tell it, because it is absolutely true. I hope that it brings others comfort in the same way, simply showing that we are only feeling the depths of our despair because we had the honour of feeling the pure joy of our love, and, my word, I am beyond grateful that I did.
"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Khalil Gibran
